The idea for Imagerylab.com had it's beginnings in a B/W darkroom. The "goal" at the time was to create a multiple image photograph. After much trial and error, an image was produced that resembled the one displayed above; however, the difficulties encountered when attempting to create a complex image were apparent. This led to a desire to re-create the image in a digital darkroom.
The B/W darkroom experience led to color darkroom work. Much time was spent developing color balance skills. However, the large amount of time required creating prints in a color darkroom and the inability to have available access to such a darkroom also led to a desire to own a digital darkroom.
The idea has become a reality and Imagerylab.com has chosen to share the digital scanning side of it's digital darkroom with the public. Our film scanning service currently includes: 35mm slide scanning and medium format scanning ( 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 inch, 4 x 5 inch, and 6 x 4.5 cm through 6 x 9 cm ). Additional services may be included at a later date, but the current plan is to assist customers who wish to convert film-based images into a digital format.
Our goal is to provide amateur and professional photographers a quality film scanning service that is almost as good as drum scanning quality - but at a much lower cost.
We hope you enjoy working with Imagerylab.com. Please let us know how we're doing and send your suggestions and comments to firstname.lastname@example.org
